My name is Ernest DelMonico in the early 2000's I started working on computers as a hobby. In the later stages of the 2000's I was IT and Network Administrator for Nirvana Spring Water. When I decided to start this journey back in 2009 when I was still working as an IT manager over at Nirvana Spring Water. While I was working as their IT manager my job was to keep all 20 of their computers operational, manage their servers and manage their camera network (36) and implement new things while in charge. The first thing was to change everything over to fiber inside the complex, then upgraded the Linux server to run more efficiently and upgraded to camera system so it ran on a 2-week recording schedule. While in charge there I learned a lot of great things that down the road would benefit me when I moved into owning my computer repair business.

                In 2010 after constantly see people I knew but they didn’t understand much about when came to computers and technical devices being taken advantage of I made the decision that I needed to find a way to help people who were not as fortunate as myself as far as technology goes, so I made the decision to go back to college to get my degree so I could open up a computer repair business to help people who were being taken advantage of. After putting in long hours between school and work I managed to get my degree in Associates of Science (AS).

                In 2012 I officially opened Ernest DelMonico Computer Repair to start helping people who needed the help in the IT field and vowed that my prices would be affordable and that is why I’ve always had the belief of using flat rates because with the flat rates it was never about what I could make from 1 customer but the trust that I could earn through the referral system because if I can do the work well enough and make that customer happy, then they would tell their friends and family of how good the work was and that I offered affordable prices that would work with everyone including someone who was on a very fixed income. The business was going great and then in 2016 I had to walk away because of health and family issues that were going on. I didn’t have the time needed to dedicate to the business for my customers and made the decision that I needed to step away from everything and I did. I worked new jobs for bosses and had to learn new skills.

                2018 big changes came about as I moved into family life with kids and a family. In 2022 then took a couple of big losses and lost 2 important people out of our lives and then in 2023 had another addition to our family. Mean while all this was going on I would see different customers of mine who would constantly ask me about reopening up and I was always hesitant about the idea because of family life.

                In 2024 while still hearing customers of mine still asking me about reopening and telling me how they would go to different repair shops, and they felt like those places didn’t have their best interest at hand. After a very hard look at everything in my life and the joy that I felt when helping people, I decided that it was time to make that big jump back into running and operating a business again but this time I won’t fall into the pitfalls of having a storefront and worrying about the extras that comes with that. I have decided to operate out of my home, so I don’t have to worry about rate increases or trying additional services such as the café and gaming arcade to bring in extra money. Running out of the home it allows me to offer my customers only what they need.

                I hope this time will be just as good as the last time I took this journey, and I hope to make everyone who chooses me happy with their decision with their computer needs.
